Google "World Cup" Easter Egg

So have you seen it yet? Google has celebrated the anniversary of the Pac-Man game, Wallace and Gromit, and the birthday of Antonio Vivaldi. Was there any doubt that Google would be introducing some sort of ode to the World Cup?

If however, you were hoping for a colorful World Cup doodle, you'll just have to wait until the tournament officially gets under way. For now, you'll just have to settle for a Google World Cup easter egg.

What are you on about? I hear you cry, well see for yourself - just Google "World Cup" and you're greeted (at the bottom of the page) with the above image!

We love Google.

Introducing Google TV

Google introduce Google TV - the web meets TV, the TV meets the web. Interesting? or just another Google product?

LONDON - YouTube is celebrating exceeding two billion hits a day, five years after it launched in beta.

To celebrate its fifth anniversary, the Google-owned site will launch a campaign in which users tell their personal stories of how YouTube has affected their lives, underlining its founding commitment to be a place where "anyone with a video camera and an internet connection can share a story with the world".

Five years ago Chad Hurley, the site's co-founder and chief executive, said he had pinned his hopes for YouTube on the basic premise that "everyone in the back of their mind wants to be a star".

The ‘My YouTube Story’ campaign will be featured on a Five Year Channel showing interactive world maps of user videos and an interactive timeline of video milestones.

Guest curators including American chat-show host Conan O’Brien will pick five of their favourite YouTube clips from the past five years.

The site has gained a billion views a day in the past seven months, indicating that its decision last year to introduce long-form content is paying off.

In October, YouTube struck its first content deal with Channel 4, making the broadcaster's long-form programmes available on YouTube for free for the first time.

It has since struck deals with Channel Five, as well as with the Indian Premier League.

The site was bought by Google in 2006 for $1.65bn

New Look for Wikipedia

So Wikipidea have made some recent changes to the way the site functions and more controversially changes to their logo. We are of the opinion that you need to keep a constant, fresh approach to business so changing a logo is very important, however there has been quite a back-lash of comments regarding their new logo. From our point of view the new logo is designed and presented in the new .svg (Scalable Vector Graphics) file format, which is supported by all browsers, apart from you guessed it - Internet Explorer, although they say IE9 will support it... let's wait and see.
